About the Band:

 The Jenkins County Middle/High School Band Program is becoming one of the best bands in the area. Located in Millen, Georgia, The War Eagle Marching Band is in their second year of competition and has already received numerous awards. This past year, as they performed their show "Inclusion," which featured the titles "Atmadja", "Ninkou Latora", "Reve Rouge", and "Urban" from Cirque Du Soliel.  They received Superior ratings in the captions of Music, Visual, Percussion, and Excellent ratings for General Effect, Color Guard, and Drum Major,  Under the direction of Mr. James McBride, the program is looking up as they travel forward and continue to improve as individuals and as a group.

About the Director:

 Mr. James McBride is  in his second year as the band director at Jenkins County Middle/High School.  He is happy about his time here in Millen, GA and has wonderful expectations for the future of the program. Upon graduating from Brooks County High School, Mr. McBride joined the U.S. Navy where he served in Operation Shield and Desert Storm. After leaving the Navy he went to Georgia Southern University to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. Upon graduation, Mr. McBride was hired to begin a band program at Emanuel County Institute where the music program has continued for over 20 years.  Mr. McBride is a member of the 116th Army Band in Marietta Georgia, the only National Guard band in the state and one of the few remaining military bands in the South East.  Mr. McBride is married to his beautiful wife, Mrs. Amy McBride and has six wonderful children: Blake, Grace, Benjamin, Jacob, Samuel, and Sara Joy.
